HC Deb 06 April 1911 vol 23 c2413
Mr. O'DOWD

asked the Chief Secretary whether he is aware that on the 24th ultimo a resolution was unanimously adopted by the Irish County Councils General Council, protesting against the scheme for the administration of the grant for the improvement of Irish roads, mainly on the grounds of the inadequacy of the sum proposed to be allocated to Ireland; and, if so, whether, in view of the statements embodied in the resolution, he will institute an inquiry with the view of Ireland receiving her due share of the grant provided by the Act?

Mr. BIRRELL

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply of my right hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury to a similar question asked on the 3rd April by the hon. Member for North Dublin.
