HC Deb 06 April 1911 vol 23 cc2404-5
Mr. O'DONNELL

asked what was the grant from the Exchequer for primary education in Ireland for the year ended the 31st March, 1910; the number of pupils on the rolls of the schools managed by the National Board for the same period; the number of pupils on the rolls of schools not under the control of the National Board; the average grant from the Treasury per pupil on the rolls; the average grant per head of the population; what was the number of pupils on the rolls of secondary schools, and the grant they received from the Exchequer for the same period; and how these figures compare with the corresponding figures for England and Scotland?

Mr. BIRRELL

I am not at present in a position to give the information asked for in the question, but if the hon. Member wishes to move for a Return I will consider whether it may be possible to grant it.
