HC Deb 06 April 1911 vol 23 c2428
Sir WALTER MENZIES

asked why James Brunton, a licensed grocer in Biggar, Lanarkshire, has this year, for the first time since his father built the premises in 1885, been charged Licence Duty by the Inland Revenue Commissioners for a store and stable situated 100 yards down the street from his shop?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

I am making some inquiries into this case, and will communicate with the hon. Member.
