HC Deb 04 April 1911 vol 23 c1975
Mr. CHARLES BATHURST

asked whether the right hon. Gentleman has yet made any inquiry to ascertain whether the Danish Government are now making a subsidy to the Union Steamship Company for the conveyance of agricultural produce to this country; what is the amount, if any, of such subsidy, and what the Union Company actually give in return in the way of facilities or encouragement to Danish export trade; and, if so, what are the results of his inquiry?

Sir E. GREY

The answer is in the negative. Inquiry shall, however, be made, as I now assume that the hon. Member desires it.
