HC Deb 04 April 1911 vol 23 cc2009-10
Mr. LYTTELTON

May I ask the Prime Minister to state what will be the business on Friday?

The PRIME MINISTER

On Friday we shall take the Second Reading of the Copyright Bill, and some of the smaller Bills which are on the Paper, if there be time.

On Monday and Tuesday we shall continue the Committee stage of the Parliament Bill.

On Wednesday we shall ask the House to sit at twelve o'clock, when we propose to take the Motion for the Adjournment for Easter.

When the House resumes on Tuesday, the 18th, we shall take the Committee stage of the Parliament Bill, and that will be continued on Wednesday.

Mr. O'SHAUGHNESSY

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman if he will take the Second Reading of the Labourers (Ireland) Bill on Friday after the Copyright Bill?

Mr. KING

May I ask whether the Army Bill will be taken on Friday next?

The PRIME MINISTER

In answer to the hon. Member for West Limerick I have to say that it will depend on the progress we make with the Copyright Bill.

Mr. REMNANT

May I ask whether among the smaller Bills to which the right hon. Gentleman referred he will include the Police (Weekly Rest-Day) (Scotland) Bill, which is practically agreed to on all sides of the House?

The PRIME MINISTER

We can only take Government Bills.
