HC Deb 31 March 1910 vol 15 c1461
Sir FREDERICK CAWLEY

asked whether the relatives of the late Mr. S. Bell, established porter in the Manchester post office, who died on 27th February, 1910, will be given the benefit of the Superannuation Act, 1909, seeing that Mr. Bell applied to come under the Act in October, 1909, and had not been notified of the result of his application at the time of his death; and whether arrangements can be made to dispose of all outstanding cases of the same nature without further delay?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

I regret that in view of the condition of Mr. Bell's health at the time of his application it has not been possible to allow that application. The consideration of the few cases still outstanding is being pressed forward, and I hope all such will be disposed of very shortly.
