HC Deb 31 March 1910 vol 15 cc1443-4
Mr. LYNCH

asked the Chief Secretary whether, in view of there being more than twenty congested holdings in the townland of Knockanalaban, near Miltown Malbay, in West Clare, the Congested Districts Board would consider the possibility of acquiring, on reasonable terms, a farm in the adjoining townland of Kildeemo, which farm consists of about 600 acres held in tenancy by Mrs. Anne Mathews, of Limerick, but not now farmed to advantage; and whether, in the event of the farm being so acquired, it would be distributed so as to afford relief to as many of the neighbouring congests as possible?

Mr. BIRRELL

I have referred this question to the Congested Districts Board, who will make inquiries into the case and consider the representations made by the hon. Member.
