HC Deb 31 March 1910 vol 15 c1439
Sir WILLIAM BULL

asked the Secretary for Foreign Affairs whether he had received official information of a state of sedition amongst the Native officers of the Egyptian army; whether he had received official information that the ministers, members of the legislative council, and others had been the recipients of an anonymous circular purporting to set forth real or alleged grievances on the part of the Native officers of the Egyptian army, and threatening reprisals in case these real or alleged grievances were not immediately redressed; and whether, if he had not received this information, he would take steps to inquire why it had been witheld?

Sir E. GREY

I have received no information of the nature referred to, and I have no doubt that, if the facts were as stated, His Majesty's Agent and Consul-General at Cairo would not fail to furnish a report of what was important.
