HC Deb 29 March 1910 vol 15 c1149
Sir RANDOLF BAKER

asked the President of the Local Government Board how many separate loans for purchase of land and for equipment or adaptation, respectively, had been sanctioned by the Local Government Board to the various county councils under The Small Holdings Act, 1908; and in how many cases had the money actually been provided for the county councils on 25th March?

Mr. BURNS

Under the Small Holdings Acts, 1907 and 1908, 242 loans have been sanctioned to councils of counties and county boroughs by the Local Government Board for the purchase of land and 252 for the equipment and adaptation of the land. I have no information enabling me to reply to the last part of the question.
