§ Mr. DOUGLAS HALLasked the Lord Advocate whether he is aware that the aged poor of Scotland are apprehensive lest their pensions shall not be paid after the expiration of six weeks from the 1st of April next, when, owing to the action of the Government on the Vote on Account, a sum of £900,000 only was voted for old age pensions for the whole of the United Kingdom; and whether he intends to take any and, if so, what steps to ensure that persons eligible for pensions in Scotland, after the expiration of six weeks from the 9th March, shall duly receive them?
