HC Deb 16 March 1910 vol 15 c353
Mr. DUNCAN MILLAR

asked the number of prosecutions which have taken place during the six months ending 28th February, 1910, for illegal trawling in the Firth of Forth and in St. Andrew's Bay, the number of convictions obtained, the amount of the penalties imposed, and the amount paid?

Mr. URE

There were during the period mentioned five prosecutions for illegal trawling in the waters referred to by my hon. Friend. In each case a conviction was obtained. Penalties to the amount of £335 were imposed, but only one, amounting to £15, was paid. All the masters, except one, went to prison.
