HC Deb 09 March 1910 vol 14 cc1463-4
Mr. LYTTELTON

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he would grant the Return standing in the name of the right hon. Member for St. George's, Hanover Square?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr Hobhouse)

If the right hon. Gentleman will alter the form of the proposed Return, and substitute the following, I shall be happy to grant it. The form I suggest is:—"Government Officials—Return giving the number and the total immediate cost per annum of the new officials, permanent and temporary, respectively, who have been appointed up to the close of the year 1909 in consequence of the legislation passed by the present Government."
