HC Deb 09 March 1910 vol 14 c1453
Mr. JAMES THOMAS

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention had been called to the recent explosions at the Cardiff Dowlais Works; and whether he would institute a special inquiry into the causes of such explosions?

Mr. MASTERMAN

The Secretary of State has received reports on the two recent occurrences at the Dowlais Works and is directing an inquiry to be made with regard to them.

Mr. JAMES THOMAS

Have special instructions been given to inquire into the foundations of those furnaces?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I cannot say without further inquiry.
