§ Mr. STANIERasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether the Board will appoint a Committee to inquire into the question of swine fever, and to see if the diagnosis of the disease could be better defined?
§ Sir E. STRACHEYSwine fever is the subject of continuous investigation by our veterinary officers at their laboratory, and the Board do not think that any useful purpose would be served at present by the appointment of a Committee to inquire into the diagnosis of the disease.
§ Mr. STANIERWill the right hon. Gentleman consider the question as a whole, and give us some more information?
§ Sir E. STRACHEYWe have considered the question as a whole. If the hon. Gentleman will put down a question for Thursday I will give him an answer that I think will satisfy him.
