HC Deb 30 June 1910 vol 18 cc1117-8
Captain CRAIG

asked if the Prime Minister can now inform the House of the result of the Government's deliberations with regard to the question of carrying firearms in Ireland, in view of the possession of all classes of weapons and ammunition by unauthorised persons?

The PRIME MINISTER

The whole question of the carrying of firearms not only in Ireland, but in all parts of the United Kingdom, is under consideration.

Captain CRAIG

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that while the matter is under consideration a great many crimes with firearms are being committed in Ireland?

The PRIME MINISTER

There will be no avoidable delay.
