§ Mr. EDGAR JONESasked the President of the Board of Education how many of the women inspectors of schools in the service of the Department had a competent knowledge of the Welsh language?
§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Runciman)So far as I am aware, none. Perhaps I should explain that the women inspectors are appointed with a view to special qualifications in special subjects. I have never heard of any of the women inspectors working in Wales finding themselves embarrassed by ignorance of Welsh.
