Mr. POINTERasked the Under-Secretary for the Colonies whether he had received any complaints regarding the work of the clerks in the Port-of-Spain branch of the Trinidad Savings Bank; whether he could say upon whose authority they enforced a rule that money deposited must not be withdrawn, wholly or partly, before a month has elapsed, and that depositors are not to withdraw money more than once in a month; and, if the matter had not already claimed his attention, would he cause enquiry to be made?
§ Colonel SEELYThe Secretary of State has not received any complaints regarding the work of the clerks in the Port-of-Spain branch of the Trinidad Savings Bank; nor has he heard of the rule referred to; but he will cause enquiries to be made.
