§ Mr. ROBERT HARCOURTasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has considered the Report of the Joint Committee on Stage Plays (Censorship), recommending, inter alia, that a single licence should be granted to both theatres and music halls, and that the existing obligation to obtain the sanction of the Lord Chamberlain to the performance of stage plays should be abolished; and whether he proposes to introduce legislation accordingly?
