HC Deb 27 July 1910 vol 19 c2091
Lord ALEXANDER THYNNE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is in a position to furnish any information to the House with regard to the desecration of British graves in Somaliland; and whether adequate steps are being taken to prevent a recurrence of similar outrages in the future?

Colonel SEELY

News has been received of the desecration of the grave of a British sailor at a place on the Somali coast, called Hais, some 150 miles to the east of Berbera. Suitable measures are being taken.

Sir J. D. REES

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether the Mullah is still dead?
