§ Mr. MUNRO FERGUSONasked the Under Secretary of State for India whether he will consider the advisability of now defining clearly the special consideration promised to candidates for the Indian Forest Service who possess a forestry diploma from a university other than Oxford, so that students at other universities may have some assurance that their studies will not be ultimately ineffective; and whether, in the event of a special examination in such cases, provision will be made for an independent examining body instead of one constructed on the present lines?
§ Mr. MONTAGUThe general question of the selection and training of probationers for the Indian Forest Service is at present under discussion, and the Secretary of State will take care that the particular point to which the hon. Member refers is fully considered.
