§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Colonel Seely)The area under wheat this year in Canada is officially given as 9,294,800 acres. From a 1729 new Government map of the Dominion, it would appear that the total area under crop is about one-twelfth of the total area surveyed, but I cannot say what proportion of the whole cultivable land this would represent.
