§ Mr. VERNEYasked the First Commissioner of Works whether he can find some position for the statue of the late Right Hon. Sydney Herbert more suitable to the great public services that he rendered to this country than the courtyard of the War Office; and whether he will have the statue removed from its present position, where it is concealed from the public, to a more appropriate site, so that the memory of a great statesman may be kept green?
§ The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Harcourt)I have not at present in mind any more suitable position in which the statue could be placed.
