§ The PRESIDENT of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. John Burns)The cost of the quinquennial valuation is not shown separately from the ordinary expenses in the Annual Returns furnished to the Local Government Board, but it is estimated that the ordinary annual expenditure has been about £10,000, and that the additional expenditure on each of the last two quinquennial valuations amounted to about £130,000, this expenditure being spread over a period or two to three years.
