HC Deb 20 July 1910 vol 19 c1251
Major MORRISON-BELL

asked the Secretary of State for War if, in view of the improvement in the shooting that would be caused thereby, he will have a B.S.A. or some similar sight attached to the rifle now in the possession of the troops?

The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Mr. Haldane)

Patterns of aperture sight available up to the present time have not been found suitable for military purposes. The Small Arms Committee is, however, carrying out further trials to determine whether a suitable sight can be obtained.
