§ Mr. WATTasked whether he has considered the advisability or otherwise of putting under the care of Labour Exchanges the engaging of domestic servants, male and female, especially in view of the charges now being made by outside exchanges, sometimes amounting to £1 per engagement; and will he say what action he proposes to take?
§ Mr. SYDNEY BUXTONManagers of Labour Exchanges are instructed not to accept notification of vacancies for indoor domestic servants. As at present advised I do not see my way to alter this instruction.
