HC Deb 14 July 1910 vol 19 c617
Mr. POWER

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he will take steps to provide a better system of ventilating the Reading Room and the Tea Room than the one prevailing at present, which, by the rush of wind through the perforations in the panelling, causes such inconvenience to Members?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Harcourt)

I have for some time been trying experiments on Members—with a view to their greater comfort. I have lately reduced what the hon. Member calls the rush of wind, and am waiting to see if he appreciates the decrease of ventilation.
