HC Deb 14 July 1910 vol 19 cc606-7
Sir CLEMENT KINLOCH-COOKE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will say on what date the last petitions were received from the Devon-port Dockyard, the date replies were sent, and the final date fixed for sending in the new petitions?

Mr. McKENNA

The last petitions were received from the workmen in Devonport Dockyard in June, 1909; the replies to these petitions were sent yesterday; new petitions will be received at any time within the next four weeks, but in some cases are being invited earlier in order that they may be available at pending interviews of petitioners with members of the Admiralty Board.

Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

Is it a fact that at one dockyard only three days have been allowed?

Mr. McKENNA

I think it must be more than that everywhere. I think so. I much regret the delay.
