§ Mr. ROBERT THOMPSONasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that a prosecution was brought by His Majesty's inspector of factories at Belfast against a firm of manufacturers for not having provided a special cloak-room for all their employés; that the magistrates at the local courts, after hearing all the evidence, dismissed the case; and that the same case was carried by the inspector to the Court of King's Bench in Dublin, where Mr. Justice Gibson confirmed the magistrates' decision; and will he consider the advisability of issuing instructions with the view of preventing contributors to the national revenue being exposed to unnecessary litigation in future?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLI would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave in regard to this case on the 5th inst. in reply to a question of the hon. Member for West Belfast. The proceedings, in my opinion, were properly taken.
