§ Mr. COWANasked how often, in each of the six months from November, 1909. to April, 1910, the Fishery Board cruisers patrolled the coast between Buchan Ness and Troup Head; and whether, in view of the frequent complaints made by line fishermen of trawling within the three-mile limit, the Board will increase the frequency of these patrols to such an extent as may be necessary to give adequate protection?
§ Mr. UREThe portion of the coast from Troup Head to Rattray Head, being part of the Moray Firth area, is regularly patrolled by cruisers on duty in the Firth; that from Rattray Head to Buchan Ness is similarly patrolled by the vessel on the adjoining station. Apart from these visits in ordinary course, thirty-seven special visits have been paid by different cruisers during the period stated in the question. No complaints of illegal trawling have been received by the Fishery Board for Scotland from the stretch of coast mentioned since November last.
§ Mr. WATTDo any statistics exist in the Scotch Office of the number of days on which these cruisers were in harbour?
