HC Deb 12 July 1910 vol 19 c198
Mr. CHARLES BATHURST

asked whether the Government propose to take any, and, if so, what, steps to carry out the afforestation proposals contained in the second Report of the Royal Commission on Coast Erosion in 1909?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

The matter is one which falls within the scope of the Development Commission, and will, no doubt, be considered by them in due course.

Mr. C. BATHURST

If the Development Fund is going to be dropped into this unfathomable well will there be anything left for agricultural development?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

I should have thought that Government forestry was very closely connected with agriculture.
