HC Deb 11 July 1910 vol 19 c25
Mr. LEACH

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if it is his intention to move to lower the period of twenty years' continuous residence in the United Kingdom now required to qualify for an old age pension, and if he will take steps to enable the old age pension authorities to include in the qualifying period of twenty years' residence some of the years which a British-born subject may have lived in the King's dominions beyond the seas?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Lloyd George)

I will consider my hon. Friend's suggestions, but I cannot make a definite statement on the subject at the present moment.
