§ Mr. KERR-SMILEYasked the Chief Secretary whether he can state the total cost to the ratepayers of Ireland of administering the Dairies and Cowsheds Order; and whether he proposes to make this a charge on the Exchequer?
§ Mr. REDMOND BARRYThe total cost of administering the Order is about £10,000 a year. Recoupment of a portion of this cost can be obtained from the Local Taxation Account under certain conditions which I explained in my reply to a question asked by the hon. Member on 6th April last. I am not in a position to state the net cost to the ratepayers.
