Mr. SUMMERSasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that a large number of advertising circulars posted at Prestatyn by the secretary of the Town Improvement Society, have been surcharged one penny, which has been demanded from the recipients in various parts of the United Kingdom; and whether he will grant facilities for the despatch of circulars from Prestatyn at the halfpenny rate?
§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELI very much regret that, owing to a misapprehension on the part of the local officials, some of the circulars referred to by the hon. Member were wrongly surcharged. I have caused instructions to be given in the matter, which will prevent a recurrence.
