§ Sir HENRY CRAIKasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Report of the Treasury Committee on the needs of the Scottish Universities will shortly be made public; and whether the Treasury is prepared to propose a grant in aid of these universities?
§ Mr. LLOYD-GEORGEThe report of the Committee is still under consideration, and though I hope to be able to propose an increase in the grant made to the Scottish Universities, I am unable to say at present what the increase will be or what conditions will be attached to it.
