Three hundred and fifty-seven applications have been made for small holdings in Staffordshire, but of these 224 have either been with-drawn or were not approved. Of the [...]33 approved applicants, 88 have been provided with land. The council have purchased 304 acres at an average price of £39 per acre and have leased 504 acres at [...]n average rent of 30s. per acre. As regards allotments, the latest information in our possession shows that in 1908 there were 199 applicants, and that of these 120 have been provided with land. Similar figures for 1909 will be published in our Annual Report for that year.
