HC Deb 24 February 1910 vol 14 c346
Mr. LAURENCE HARDY

asked whether the Prime Minister could now give the names of the Commissioners to be appointed under the Development Act, in order that the Act may be promptly put into effect; and whether, in accordance with the principle assented to by the President of the Board of Agriculture that a large part of the money is to be devoted to agricultural development, he will give an assurance to the House that at least two of the Commissioners shall be agricultural experts?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)

I am not at the moment prepared to make any announcement, but I hope to be able to state the names of the Commissioners without undue delay, and I may add that the appointments will be made with due regard to the interests of agriculture.
