The House met at Two of the clock.

A Message from His Majesty, by Admiral Sir Henry Frederick Stephenson, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, as followeth:

Mr. Speaker,—The King commands this Honourable House to attend His Majesty immediately, in the House of Peers.

Accordingly Mr. Speaker, with the House, went up to attend His Majesty.

And having returned, the Sitting was suspended.

At half-past Three of the clock, Mr. SPEAKER took the Chair.

Several other Members took and subscribed the Oath, and several other Members made and subscribed the affirmation required by Law.
