Private Bills,—The Chairman of Ways and Means reported, That, in accordance with Standing Order 79, he had conferred with the Chairman of Committees of the House of Lords, for the purpose of determining in which House of Parliament the respective Private Bills should be first considered, and they had determined that the Bills contained in the following List should originate in the House of Lords, namely:

Bankers' Guarantee Trust (Transfer), Blackpool Improvement, Briton Ferry Bridge, D. H. Evans and Company, Falmouth Docks, Hartlepool Corporation, Hartlepool Gas and Water, Huddersfield Corporation Gas, Leeds Corporation Legal and General Life Assurance Society, Londonderry Port and Harbour, Mansfield Railway, Medway Conservancy, Middlesbrough Corporation, Newark Gas, Nuneaton Corporation, Pembroke Gas, Poole Corporation, St. Just (Falmouth) Ocean Wharves and Railways, Sheringham Gas and Water, Stockton-on-Tees Corporation, Stourport Gas, Sunderland Gas, Thames Ocean Wharf and Railway, Tynemouth Corporation, West Somerset Mineral Railway.

Private Bills [Lords],—Mr. SPEAKER laid upon the Table Report from the Examiners; of Petitions for Private Bills, That, in respect of the Bills comprised in the List reported by the Chairman of Ways and Means as intended to originate in the House of Lords, they have certified that the Standing Orders have been complied with in the following cases, namely:

Bankers' Guarantee Trust (Transfer), Blackpool Improvement, Briton Ferry Bridge, D. H. And they have certified that the Standing Orders have not been complied with in the following case, namely:

Private Bills Petitions [Lords] (Standing Orders not complied with),—Mr. SPEAKER laid upon the Table Report from one of the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, That in the case of the Petition for the following Bill, originating in the Lords, the Standing Orders have not been complied with, namely: Leeds Corporation [Lords].

Ordered, That the Report, be referred to the Select Committee on Standing Orders.

Private Bill Petitions (Standing Orders not complied with),—Mr. SPEAKER laid upon the Table Report from one of the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, That, in the case of the Petition for the following Bill, the Standing Orders have not been complied with, namely:

Llanelly Corporation.
