§ Mr. HUDSONasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies if he can state the number of men employed in each department on the Ceylon Government Railways for the year ending 31st December, 1909; the number of cases where men have been fined; the date and nature of the offence; the amount of fine imposed; the name of the person fined, and the department and grade then serving in; the number of cases in each department where the stipulated annual increment has been stopped or withheld for any period and the reason for so doing; and whether he can grant a Return giving those particulars?
§ Colonel SEELYI will ascertain and communicate to my hon. Friend the number of men employed in the various departments of the railway. The figures are not at present available. The Secretary of State will inquire whether information on the other points can be readily supplied.
