§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Hobhouse)The second general annual report of the Public Trustee, issued on 9th March, showed that the total funds under the control of the office of the Public Trustee on 31st December last were valued at £5,646,300. Apart from the audit of the accounts of any trust which is permitted to a beneficiary there is a test audit of moneys under the Public Trustee's control by the Comptroller and Auditor-General. Arrangements for a separate detailed audit are now being considered.
