asked the First Commissioner of Works what was the amount of the tender originally accepted for the building of the Duke of York's School, Dover?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Harcourt)

A sum of £107,789 was the amount of the first building tender accepted exclusive of engineering and many other services.
