§ Mr. BIRRELLI understand that Mr. Scrimgeour was promoted on 1st November, 1909, to the post of gardener at the Albert Agricultural College, Glasnevin, with salary at the rate of £104 per annum, with a house and coal. Mr. Scrimgeour completed his training in horticulture at the college in November, 1903, when he was given an appointment in connection with the fruit-growing experiments of the Department of Agriculture. He has been continuously in the employment of the Department since November, 1903.
