HC Deb 19 April 1910 vol 16 cc1876-7
Captain COOPER

asked whether ex-soldiers employed by Government Departments receive the ordinary rate of pay for their rank, or whether they are liable to deductions in respect of their Army pensions?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

The general practice is that ex-soldiers (not officers) employed in Government Departments receive full civil pay in addition to their Army pensions; but in certain classes of cases civil pay is specially fixed with reference to the fact that the recipient has a military pension.
