asked whether any British ship carrying more than ten heavy guns has yet been launched; whether any such vessels have been launched for any Foreign Powers; and, if so, how many ships, and for which Powers?

also asked what foreign nations have laid down or provided for ships which are known to be armed with more than ten heavy guns?

With regard to these questions, if the hon. Gentleman will state what he means by a heavy gun, and how far back he wishes the information for, a statement will be got out.
