asked whether the present Assistant Inspector-General of the Dublin Metropolitan Police was at any time engaged in the collection of information for "The Times" newspaper; whether he was present at the Special Commission; whether he received remuneration from "The Times"; and whether, ii so, his action at the time had the approval of his superior officers?

The Assistant-Commissioner of the Dublin Metropolitan Police was never engaged in collecting information for "The Times," and never received remuneration from that paper. He was not present at the Special Commission.
