§ Mr. JOHN ROCHEasked the Chief Secretary whether he can state relatively the amount, in years' purchase, of the increase in price paid for land in the counties of Galway and Cork under the Act of 1903, including bonus, as compared with the average under the Ashbourne Act in the same counties?
§ Mr. BIRRELLI would refer the hon. Member to the Return with respect to Land Purchase prices presented to Parliament in 1908 (No. 357), which appears to give the information which he requires.
§ Mr. MAURICE HEALYMay I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether it is not a fact that more tenant purchasers have been created in county Cork in five years by the Act of 1903 than were created in all the rest of Ireland by all the Acts preceding for twenty-five years; and whether there is anything in the Act of 1903 to prevent purchasers in any other county in Ireland from making as good bargains as those which have been made in county Cork?
