asked how many rounds per gun, from 12- to 6-inch inclusive, do the Governments consider an adequate reserve to keep in store in peace time at home depots and at foreign depots for ships based thereon respectively, and is it in contemplation to increase the present reserve on the outbreak of hostilities?
