HC Deb 11 April 1910 vol 16 c889
Mr. POWER

asked the Chief Secretary if he would state how many evicted tenants have been restored to their old holdings in East Waterford; and how many have been provided with new holdings by the Estates Commissioners?

Mr. BIRRELL

The records of the Estates Commissioners are not kept by Parliamentary Divisions. The figures for the county of Waterford are as follows:—Forty-two evicted tenants have been reinstated in their former holdings or provided with other holdings by the Estates Commissioners, and thirty-one have been reinstated by landlords. In eighteen of these thirty-one cases the tenants were reinstated by the landlords at the instance of the Commissioners.
