HC Deb 05 April 1910 vol 16 cc197-8
Mr. GUINNESS

asked the Secretary of State for War, whether any decision had yet been reached on the subject of the proposed increase in the retiring allowances of quartermasters and riding-masters holding the rank of major?

Mr. HALDANE

The question has presented considerable difficulty, and is still under consideration, but I think that a solution is now in sight.

Mr. GUINNESS

May I ask when a solution will be reached, for I think I got very much the same assurance two years ago?

Mr. HALDANE

These questions cannot be disposed of in a hurry.
