HC Deb 05 April 1910 vol 16 c211
Mr. WATT

asked the Lord Advocate whether he is aware that English and Welsh Members of this House are exempt from serving on juries during the Session of the House, whereas Scottish Members are liable to that duty; and whether he will introduce legislation dealing with this matter?

The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Ure)

I am aware of the fact to which my hon. Friend calls attention. Where legislation relative to the summoning and qualification of jurors is undertaken, the grievance will doubtless be considered.

Mr. REES

Can the Lord Advocate call to mind any other occasion on which Wales has got the better of Scotland?

Mr. URE

No, Sir.

Mr. WATT

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Welsh Members are in this Parliament made the pets of this House?
